Please join us for a (almost regular) CC Canada (Toronto) Salon on SAT 26 AUG at Bickford Park (Harbord & Grace: Google Map) from 14h00-18h00. We will be joining our friends from the Toronto Linux Users Group for their annual picnic, “Linux In The Park“. Bring a friend, frisbee and some righteous snacks, in no particular order.
In the event of rain, we will be across the street at the infamous Linux Caffe enjoying coffee, code, culture and community.

Computer Swap Meet/ Sale
In an attempt to out-do last years hugely successful computer swap meet, the Toronto2600 have been asked to spearhead another one !
Things that will be offered at the swap meet include leftovers from the 2006 Linux World Canada show (see: http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/9028), such as:
- Ubuntu stickers
- Ubuntu fliers
- Fedora Core 5 DVDs
- GTALug buttons
As for specific people/items:
- Colin McGregor will be bringing in a 10Mbps 8 port hub and a few other goodies. Thanks to Paul Mora, Colin will also have some issues of "Linux Journal" to give away, including several copies of the current (September 2006) issue. Colin is looking for faster than Pentium III 866 CPUs/motherboards and/or other interesting technology.
- Giles Orr is looking for a 100Mbit half height ethernet card and is offering an "Efficient Networks SpeedStream 4060 USB ADSL Modem" (complete with long USB cable and power brick) for trade. Sale/purchase also considered.
- Jeffrey Pikul is planning to bring a 15" VGA monitor to give away.
