- Description
- Introduced in the early-mid 90s and the backbone of today's Internet, CIDR is still not well understood by many computer professionals. This talk will cover the design and implementation of CIDR, how it differs from pre-CIDR networking, network and broadcast addresses, netmasks and what happens if they are setincorrectly. It also covers how to do CIDR calculations in your head and some other stuff :)
- The talk is aimed at those who have a moderate understanding of how the Internet functions. Complete newbies may not understand all the concepts presented but I will be happy to stop and explain concepts in more detail as requested.
